I have to learn how I teach?

This bachelor thesis is concerned with the new law on pedagogical staff. The thesis outlines the impact of the law on the lives and careers of kindergarten teachers who do not satisfy minimal criteria required by the law and who have to supplement their education or leave their jobs. It shows strategies which help teachers cope with the situation and also identifies social inequality among education professionals, which arises or intensifies because of the need to supplement the education. The analytical part is based on an analysis of semi- structured interviews conducted with kindergarten teachers, who are currently supplementing their education to obtain the required qualifications. The results of the analysis highlight the different approaches to understanding of qualifications for the teaching profession by the teachers and the wording of the law.
