Deep vein thrombosis of lower limbs - the therapy of thrombosis in women using alteplase

MUDr. Radovan Malý Ph.D. Title of Thesis: Deep vein thrombosis of lower limbs - the therapy of thrombosis in women using alteplase Background: The aim of study was observed undesirable effects of treatment of deep vein thrombosis, than safety and how long lasting an intervetion, incidence of deep vein thrombosis on lower limbs, different ages and risk factors conecting with this disease too. Methods: In this study we administred Alteplase - a thrombolytic drug - directly to the vein using a catheter. Alteplase is a tissue plasminogen activator and it activates the transformation of plasminogen to plasmin and than plasmin breaks down blood clots and helps to renew the blood floow in the affected vessel. The thrombolytic drug was administered directly to the thrombus with using catether. In this study the 68 women were treated regardless of their age. Blood sample from pacients took away before, during and after inervention to set down levels of platelets and fibrinogen.
