The rigorous thesis "The perspectives of the European antidiscrimination law with focus on current legislative proposals" discusses the history of the development of European antidiscrimination law and outlines the problems with the proposal of the so-called fifth Equal Treatment Directive. After a brief summary of the history of the development of primary and secondary European law, the thesis concentrates on the content of the new Equal Treatment Directive and critically examines its most problematic aspects. The thesis analyses the positions of the Member States that expressed their disagreement with the content of the proposal. The thesis further deals with the process and result of the implementation of European antidiscrimination laws...
