Current issues in bilingual education in the Czech Republic and Great Britain

The main aim of my final thesis is the comparison of bilingual education in the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom, with the focus on Wales and England. Regarding to be able to make this comparison, I had to focus first on history as well as recent trends in European education policy in the field of language and bilingual education, as well as the history and basis of bilingual education, the definition of Czech bilingual education, defining the British education system, defining the British bilingual education with a focus on England and Wales and a comparison of Czech and British bilingual education. Contribution of my work is that the investigation was carried out and compared to the current phenomenon of bilingual education in the international dimension
