Nurse and her role in the field of blood donation

Bachelor thesis "The nurse and her role in blood donation" is focused on the nurses activities in attracting new blood donors evaluate the effectiveness of their efforts and propose ways to obtain new contributory blood donors. This essay consists of a theroretical and a practical part. The theoretical part is focused on the history and present of blood donation, the goals of the role of nurses in blood donation and subsequently detailed analysis of education and motivation of nurses to obtain new blood donors along with practical suggestions that can help increase the number of blood donors. The empirical part consists of a questioning, which was administered by nurses working in surgical clinics at FN Motol and blood donors from two blood donor centers - Ústav hematologie a krevní transfúze and Transfúzní oddělení Všeobecné fakultní nemocnice, with whom blood bank of FN Motol cooperates.
