This bachelor thesis researches the concept of hope in work of two authors, Jana Patočka and Jürgen Moltmann. It wants to present hope as an inherent part of human existence. Secondly it wants to explain why is hope such a specific topic how should the specific methods researching hope look like. Therefore this thesis discuss constitutive philosophical phenomenons of hope (experience, historicity, future, openess and alterity) and theological themes (cricifixion, resurrection, Jesus Christ, triunity of God, promise, new creation, God's activity in our world, exodus and following).
