Nature Trails (Use of Nature Trails in Teaching in Primary Schools)

The thesis is focused on nature trails and way of using them for teaching in primary schools, and it can be divided into two main parts. The theoretical part is focused on nature trails, their functions, types, application and also their history in the Czech Republic. Substantial part of this topics is devoted to the rules of building nature trails. Other topics in this theoretical part relate to the nature conservation in the Czech Republic and the environmental education and awareness. Regarding to the theme of nature protection, I focused on the legislation of in the Czech Republic. For it, among other things, must be made allowances when building nature trails. The last section discusses the Protected Landscape Area Žďárské vrchy - area of the Czech Republic, which I chose for my research. The second part of thesis is the research. The aim of the research was to determine whether teachers come while science teaching in the field. And if so, how often. Further questions were focused on the criteria of selection of the nature trail and overall personal experience with nature trails. Key words: nature trail, nature conservation, environmental educatio
