Title: The influence of imagination on the performance of white water slalom racers Tasks: The main task of this work is to find out if imagination can influence the performance of racers. Techniques: We used the technique of observing the coexistent relation by correlation analysis. At first we measured the time that is necessary to visualize and complete the course in one's mind and then compared it to the actual race time. Results: In the surveyed group of men (N = 11) only a slight association between performance and imagination was observed. In the group of women (N = 4) there was a more significant relation between performance and imagination. Key words: White water slalom, imagination, visualization, performance in sport
