This thesis is focused on the Irish American community in the United States of America and their influence and involvement in the events that happened in Ireland during the years 1916-1922. This period of time was significant due to the fight for Irish Freedom, which began in 1916 with the Easter Rising, the second phase occurred with the Irish War of Independence, and finally, the fight was over when the Anglo-Irish Treaty was signed and approved in the Dáil in 1922 with the creation of the Irish Free State.
