To research the stereotypes in Czech and German proverbs

This bachelor work deals with stereotypes, which occur in Czech and German proverbs. Firstly, the concept of stereotype and proverb is explained. Stereotype is confronted with terms that are related to it (prejudice, discrimination) and some types and sorts are described. Progression is described internationally and also separately in territory of the Czech Republic and Germany in the proverb part. The typical composition of these statements is also mentioned. In practical part, the survey helps to determine the differences of stereotypical opinions between Czechs and Germans (opinions about their and foreign nation). Based on discovered results, proverbs in Czech and German language are arranged into groups. Those are based on typical characteristics, which occur in mentioned proverbs
