Migration of Ukrainian Citizens to the Czech Republic and Its Impacts on Their Perception by the Czech Majority

This thesis focuses on the problems of Ukrainian immigration to the Czech Republic and its impacts on the Czech majority society. The aim is to describe and evaluate the Ukrainian migration into the Czech Republic after the declaration of Ukrainian independence in 1991, which is followed by pointing out the main aspects that may influence views on the Ukrainian minority in the Czech Republic. Another part of the thesis is to summarize the views of the Czech majority on the Ukrainian minority living in the Czech Republic. This survey is conducted on the basis of the results of public opinion CVVM and STEM. The research clearly shows signs of negative attitude that Czech majority society have to the Ukrainian minority living in the Czech Republic. The vast majority of Ukrainians living in the Czech Republic live in Prague and its surroundings. The Ukrainians living in the Czech Republic are considered to be not very likeable people especially in cities over 100,000 population. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org
