Perceptions of primary-school children about movement and healthy life-style

The aim of the thesis is to discuss the notions of health as perceived by children and the issues of physical activities and healthy lifestyle of pre-school children. The theoretical part summarises the secondary literature and defines the basic terms. The characteristic features of pre-school children are described in connection with the issues of health, healthy food and physical activity, and with other factors influencing healthy lifestyle. The main part is based on the premise that parents influence their children's attitude to physical activities and healthy food and that they have control of the children's choices of leisure activities. The aim of the main part is to elicit the children's notion of healthy lifestyle and to evaluate their acquired knowledge. Keywords: notions, physical activities, health, lifestyl
