(in English) The topic of this thesis is the early novel of the Colombian writer Gabriel García Márquez called Leaf Storm (La Hojarasca). To provide a comparison with another book, this work also deals in brief with the author's most known novel One Hundred Years of Solitude (Cien años de soledad). The Leaf Storm is considered by the author himself as a direct predecessor of One Hundred Years of Solitude, however, they are two very different books. On the next pages I will dedicate my attention to the several aspects of the novel Leaf Storm.
