Migration policy of the Federal Republic of Germany in the years 1998-2005

This aim of the bachelor thesis is the analysis of the Gerhard Schröder government with the scope of immigrations policies over the period 1998-2005. The thesis is analyzing a process of amendment of the bill about citizenship and an implementation of Green Card for a foreigner experts. The aim is to highlight a minimal consensus which ruled over this time within the political parties. The thesis is describing in the next part a government policies which accompanied adoption of the immigration law and specifies further attitudes and aims of the relevant political parties. It also emphasizes the discourse within the society which contributed to the final bill
