This thesis focuses on the production of a product using the increasingly popular additive technologies Rapid Prototyping. The theoretical section explained the very rapid prototyping technology and its application in various sectors. There were also mentioned different materials to use for 3D printing and actual printing method. The practical part was focused on the prototype modeling in SolidWorks CAD software and the subsequent production of elements of the 3D printer uPrint, using additive method Fused Deposition Modeling. In the conclusion, there is the evaluation of prototype production and also cost comparison using alternative materials
