The thesis deals with the theme of Medusa in production of art therapy students. The mixed research presents possibilities of visual portrayal of this theme. It accentuates depicted figures, phases of the story and variations in portrayal of Medusa as a mythical figure. The research also offers possibilities, how to work with such depicted motives in the interpretation. My thesis has the theoretical base in the theme of the story, myth and symbol. Description of psychological ways how to work with stories or art therapeutic solutions and ways of work within Rožnov school are also mentioned. Also the myth of Medusa itself, it´s anchorage in sociocultural contexts - including the psychoanalysis´s point of view has it´s own charter
