This thesis focuses on the issue of water tanks especially in the aspect of their functions, maintenance, reconstruction, development and revitalization of tanks. It also deals with the application of reservoirs in agricultural landscape. This thesis contains a description and evaluation of the history and development of tanks in the selected location of South Bohemia, which is the catchment Mladějovický stream.
