Historické parky a zámecké zahrady jižních Čech

The topic of this bachelor thesis is "Historical parks and chateau gardens in Southern Bohemia". It uses a form of literary recherche and contains eleven chapters. First part presents the terminology used regarding this topic. Consequent chapters describe in depth the landscape of Southern Bohemia and Czech historical gardens fund. The main topic of the thesis are gardens, so the next part describe the evolution of garden art and individual eras and changes in garden architecture happening through history. Subsequent chapters deal with a topic of garden restoration and techniques of historical garden restoration. The most important part of this thesis is a comprehensive list of historical parks and chateau gardens in Southern Bohemia, including an attached map. Three of the gardens are described thoroughly, namely: Terčino údolí, Kratochvíle chateu and castle gardens in Český Krumlov.
