The equine musculosceletal system

The objective of the bachelor's thesis is to define the anatomy and physiology of horse's locomotive organs and to describe selected limb disorders. The work focuses on the most common congenital and acquired limb diseases those affect different categories of sport and work horses today and which are often the key to the horses' later use. The first part of the thesis comprises the anatomy and physiology of the limb skeleton, joints, synovial structures, and tendon apparatus. The second part of the thesis focuses on the most common limb diseases affecting mainly joints and tendons. For each mentioned disorder its etiology, preventive measures, diagnostics, and treatment options are presented
