Human remains on the settlement sites of the Czech neolithic period

This study is thematically linked to the analysis of findings of the Czech Eneolithic period. The essence of this work lies in the comprehensive processing of all types of findings of human remains in the Czech Neolithic dwellings including the yet unpublished, but highly significant findings of Prague-Liboc and Prague-Ruzyně. Comparing the variety of the human remains handling in the environment of Neolithic and Eneolithic cultures, burials within settlements, usually present simultaneously with regular burials in dedicated grounds and often considered abnormal, appear to be an important occurance in the period. We obtained a picture illustrating the uniqueness of the Linear Pottery culture and the Stroked Pottery culture concernig the treatment of human remains in settlements
