The case study of early mediaeval settlement during the period of Avar Khaganate in south-western Slovakia

The aim of the thesis is to issue five settlement sites from the period of Avar khaganate: Cífer-Pác, Šaľa-Duslo, Kubáňovo, Úľany nad Žitavou a Pavlová. The theoretical introduction to the subject of the archaeology of coeval settlements is followed by standard publication of the sites. Third part of the thesis includes evaluation and dating of the features and the material culture (pottery in particular), as well as the contribution of the sites to the understanding of the settlement structure
