The influence of the Galician language on the Castilian language - interferences and borrowings

As the name suggests, the main theme of the present work is the influence the Galician language has on the Spanish language system. In more detail the work also deals with specific phenomens which penetrate into the Castilian language spoken in Galicia creating a new variety of Spanish, which is typical for given region. In addition to the aforementioned aspects, we encounter in this work the matter of the influence Spanish has on Galician and we also discuss some theoretical questions. The work addresses such problems as definition of language and dialect, matters of diglossia and bilingualism and explanation of some linguistic terms, e.g. interference and integration
