Manuscripts of Queen Elizabeth Rejčka

The Bachelor thesis "Manuscripts of Queen Elizabeth Rejčka" is devoted to a set of nine illuminated manuscripts that Elizabeth Rejčka had made as benefactor for Cistercian Convent in Staré Brno. After getting familiar with the life of Elizabeth Rejčka the main part of thesis is devoted and focused to manuscripts themselves. Their history is related and their catalogue information is given. Both decorations of mentioned manuscipts and workshops relations are studied. Possible sources that might have influenced the manuscripts illuminators are closely observed using obtained data. After possible dating of hereby mentioned manuscripts the thesis is devoted to the problem of development of significance for next expansion and growth of illumination in our countries and its historical context of its origin
