Office of president of France and the Czech Republic and their comparison

The goal of this bachelor thesis whose topic explores and compares the executive, in other words presidential, branch of the government of France and the Czech Republic. Overall, I compare the president's role as head of government, the process of electing the President of the respective countries. My main aim was to demonstrate distinctions in presidential roles within the Constitutional system of the two selected countries as they relate to their political systems. The following parts of my thesis focuses on a detailed analysis of the presidential status both in France and the Czech Republic. In each chapter of the paper, I looked at the processes and requirements of presidential elections, their position, and presidential authority which all in all as a status define their relation to the government as well as the parliament. I also briefly reflected on the last presidential elections in both countries. In the concluding parts of my work, I also cross-referenced factual information about the heads of state with the goal of finding common and differing elements resulting from their presidential offices
