Handball in Physical Education for students of the 2nd grate of primary school

SUMMARY: This thesis deals with teaching handball at secondary schools. Geographically it focuses on districts of Prague and Central Bohemia. The research methods used in the thesis are questionnaire, experimentation and observation. The paper monitors inclusion of handball in physical education classes at secondary schools. It inquires the popularity of handball between teachers and pupils compared with other sport games. It studies what material and space conditions schools have at their disposal for physical education classes and whether these conditions are sufficient for handball practice. The paper also includes the information about practice methods of the basic player skills and a conception of teaching handball in ten lessons
