Clerical life at Žebrák in the high Middle Ages

The main subject of the Bachelor's degree work is monitoring the Church administration in the region in 14th century and at the beginning of the 15th century. The region Žebrácko laid in the deanery of Brdy, whose structure the author describes in the first part of the work. On the basis of the analysis of the sources, the author seeks to create an inventory of parish priests in the parish churches of St. William in Praskolesy, St. Giles in Hořovice and St. Lawrence in Žebrák. The work describes the mobility, education and other activities of individual parish priests. The author also explains the issue of the chapel of St. Procopius, in Praskolesy, in which were found the frescoes in 2005 from 14th century. The work also deals with the question of the patrons rights of individual churches. In this context, the author describes the rotation of the owners in selected areas, as it often held the patrons rights. The last part of the work deals with the Visitation protocol of the Prague achdeacon Paul of Janovice from the years 1379 -1382. The work describes his journey by the deanery of Brdy and focuses on the canonical visitation of monitored sites.
