Social Democracy in Interwar Czechoslovakia - Figures, Ideas, Trends 1920 - 1937

The thesis on the Czechoslovak Social Democratic Labour Party in the interwar years (1920 - 1937) describes the organizational structure of the party, a political programme and the impact of this political and economical programme on the party's behaviour during the years of the world economic crisis. The thesis points out the differences between the two generations of the party and their leaders namely Antonín Hampl and Václav Patzak or Jaroslav Čecháček and examines the conceptions of these factions. Afterwards the thesis analyzes the position of the party in the czechoslovak political system between the wars, the competiton with the communist party and the activity of the party's ministers in their offices (particularly in the 1930's).
