Geoffrey Wainwright, Doxology. The Praise of God in Worship, Doctrine, and Life. A Systematic Theology. New York 1980. The book is introduced in the bachelor thesis as a systematic theology written from a liturgical perspective. It can also be considered as a theology of worship. Wainwright indicates that the relations between doctrine and worship are deep rooted and far reaching, and they influence each other significantly. The first part of the book sketches the substance of Christianity. The second part examines instruments of Christian tradition - the means by which the vision is transmitted through time. In the third part, direct attention is given to questions regarding the Christian vision proclaimed in the second half of the twentieth century. The conclusion of the book brings out the orientation towards the future. It is suggested that there are rewards for the whole life of the Church in doing the theological task in a liturgical perspective. Since God's kingdom and human salvation can be described as true worship, every improvement in the quality of liturgy by which our present Christian life is focally expressed is worthwhile
