The diploma thesis "Puritanism and the Vision of Worhip in Marriage according to Richard Baxter's Christian Directory" deals with the historical view of the revival movement of puritanism, which was a part of the Anglican church in the 16th and 17th centuries. The first chapter evaluates its historical framework by means of a gradual analysis of its origins, development and spread of puritanism, as well as its main aims and stresses. The second chapter introduces the life of Richard Baxter, the particularities of his age, his peculiarity of thoughts and his literary work.
