Ethical Aspects of Prenatal Diagnostics

Resumé in English Ethical aspects of prenatal diagnostics Currently, parents who plan to have a child are offered a number of diagnostic techniques to get information whether the ontogeny of the child is in accordance with ever more precisely specified biological criteria. This offer inherently includes particular risks of selection and, therefore, a range of internationally acknowledged recommendations on performing prenatal diagnostics has been set. The study includes a detailed description of available methods of prenatal diagnostics and assesses them according to the following ethical criteria: the integrity of human life, the life is more then its quality, non maleficence, beneficience.
