Marie Kovářová - ethnographer of Podblanicko

This bachelor thesis deals with the personality of Marie Kovářová, ethnographic worker of Podblanicko. It describes her life between the years 1910-1972, from birth to retirement. The major emphasis is placed on the early publication and museum activities. Her biography arose from the analysis of documents stored in Kovářová's personal archive fund and available literature and was supplemented by the information obtained in a small field research. The aim was to evaluate Kovářová's role in the regional homeland work and put her personality into contemporary context of the history of ethnography
