Geopolitical Aspects of Yugoslavian Dissolution: Conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The aim of the baccalaureate thesis "Geopolitical Aspects of Yugoslavian Dissolution: Conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina" is supposed to find and assess external aspects of the disintegration of Bosnia and Herzegovina. There is a theoretical- methodological frame at the beginning of the thesis which provides its frame consisting of three theories. First, there is S. Huntington's theory "The Clash of Civilizations". The next two originate from the theories of international relationships - neo-realism and neo-liberalism. Following chapters answer research questions defined in the theoretical- methodological framework on the basis of qualitative investigation. The thesis is supposed to provide the image of motives for the engagement of European Union and North-Atlantic Organization and to describe the role they have played in the progress of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1992-1995.
