Employment of people with visual impairments

This thesis deals with the problem of employment of people with visual impairment on the labour market, using methods of qualitative research. The autor intends to find out the underlying causes of high unemployment of this disadvanteged group on the labour market. The author works using biographic research data of ten people with serious visual impairment - employees of rehabilitative and requalification center called Dědina in Prague - to study the causes of their success on the labour market. Based on this study, the author is inferring hypothesis about possibilities to improve the situation of the target group, especially focusing on the relationship between the client and helping worker in rehabilitation of people with visual impairment
