Diabetes Mellitus type I. in childhood: quality of life study

The thesis is devoted to the diabetes mellitus type I child patients' quality of life. The first theoretical part deals with the quality of child's life as such. The influence of a chronic disease on a quality of life is discussed in this part. In a chronic disease, of which diabetes is an excellent example, a social support is of essential importance. The second theoretical part depicts the nature of diabetes mellitus type I, its treatment and special regime of patient's daily life. The practical part of the thesis explores the quality of life of diabetic children using a Czech version of formerly English questionnaire.
