The thesis focuses on the analysis of fictional world by means of narrator in the Kde život náš je v půli se svou poutí novel by Josef Jedlička. The paper focuses especially on the relationship between narrator's functions and image of this world. The analysis of the narrator which is in the first part is put on his transformations and display in single components of the text. The second part of the work is devoted to depiction of the fictional world. Considering particularity of the writing this work tries to describe its single components especially its chronological structure and work with motives. Special emphasis is placed on relationship between the fictional and actual world
