Self examination consist of personal health anamnesis and physical examination which is important for differential diagnosis. If diagnostic conclusion is unclear, imaging methods can be helpful. The conservative treatment of plantar fasciitis includes rest, physical therapy and rehabilitation. Proper choice of orthotics and footwear, especially by athletes, is essential.
