Interactive website for teaching of functions at high school

The thesis deals with the possibilities of using internet in teaching functions at high school. It is divided in two parts. The available web sites are the topic of the first part. Sites which were found are briefly described and evaluated. This portion concludes with a table providing the evaluation criteria for the sites. The second part of the thesis presents a new function-teaching web site. The features it covers include general function properties, linear function, quadratic function, absolute value function, exponential and logarithmic function, power function and linear rational function. Interactive elements are implemented as JAVA applets. The applets visualize how the particular coefficients affect the graphic course in a rule of function.
