This diploma work is focusing on the contemporary problems of brestfeeding from the view of woman. There is described the newest knowledge of breastfeeding in the theoretical part, the history, meening and the psychology of the breastfeeding. The practical part is focusing on the mother's attitude towards the breastfeeding, mother's own experiences, opinions and valuations. This part is also looking for the factors affecting the duration and the quality of the breastfeeding
