For a long time I am interested in the issue of patients terminally ill and dying, especially in the context of palliative and hospice care. It is for this reason I chose a case study of a patient with advanced disease for whom curative medicine has exhausted all its possibilities, and for which the ideal has become a palliative care provided in a hospice inpatient facility. In this work, first I present the anatomy and physiology of the prostate gland / prostate cancer, the pathophysiological basis of prostate cancer, diagnosis and treatment options, and basic patient data, all in the clinical part.
