Individual's career path and its development

The theme of this bachelor thesis is an individual's career and its development and a broad variety of areas which affect it. The first parts of this thesis are concentrated on clarifying the term career and introducing multiple views on the present term. Further, the thesis concentrates on the development of an individual's career, the stages of this development and also several theories concerning personality features of an individual in relation to their profession. This thesis also concentrates on contemporary career concepts which, contrary to the traditional career concepts, flexibly react to the constantly changing environment and new arising needs in this area. Another theme of this thesis is career planning, either by the individual or by an organisation within the process of career management. In its final chapters, this thesis concentrates on career counselling and its great contribution to the area of individuals' careers when searching for a professional specialisation or when further developing a career
