Anglická anotace: Czech Architecture 1939-1948. Echoes of the Functionalist Idea The bachelor thesis deals with the Czech functionalist architecture between years 1939-1948. First, it focuses on the period of occupation of the Czechoslovakia and on the influence of theoretical works written in this period on the architecture after the World War II. Subsequently, it evaluates the situation after 1945. The thesis will consider if the war experience brought any changes or revision in architecture or if architects followed the architectural ideas of interwar era. Finally, it mentions the beginning of Socialist Realism in the Czechoslovakia and therefore the end of the functional ideas newly evaluated during occupation.
