Admission of parents with their ill child to hospital from nurse's point of view

The goal of bachelor's thesis is to present the problems of parents staying together with their ill child in hospital. It emphasizes on child's psychical needs influenced by illness, especially on need to have around a person he or she knows well to provide him or her the emotional support and comfort, especially when being taken away from his or her usual environment. A qvantitative research was carried out how nursing staff from paediatric wards of three Faculty Hospitals in Prague. The research vas focused on how nurses accept parents or adults accompanying a child, the most common problems, the staff knowledge of the therm family- centred care, cooperation with play therapists, volunteers or psychologist and also how the Chart of hospitalized children is respected
