Children with cochlear implantans: parental perspective

This Bachelor paper concerns cochlear implants in children. The theoretical part aims to clarify the whole procedure of cochlear implantation, focusing on criteria for selecting appropriate candidates, the pre-operative and post-operative rehabilitation and the quality of life of a child with the implant. This part also focuses on the postimplantation care in terms of special pedagogy and speech therapy. The empirical part evaluates the parental perspective of a child with a cochlear implant.
