This thesis disserts on Japanese adverbs of degree (measure) expressing high degree from morpohological, semantic and syntactical perspective. First, I introduce basic information about Japanese adverbs generally. About each adverb I explain the meaning by means of both direct translation and description and I define morphological type and comment on most often type of modified expresion from the semantic perspective. Then I give a corpus of example sentences with Czech translation. At each example sentence I comment on semantic type of modified expresion. At the end I resume findings about relation between meaning of an adverb and semantic type of modified expresion
