The bachelor thesis pays attention to the theme of The Locative Singular Mascular and Neuter Based on the Corpus Material (the distribution, interchangeableness and frequency of the endings -u nad -e). The work is focused on the polymofphism of the declination paradigmas hrad and město in the singular form, specially on the competition between the endings -u and -elě. The bachelor thesis compares the approach to that problem in classic and modem czech grammars: Nauka o českém jazyku, Stručná mluvnice česká, Mluvnice češtiny (2), Příruční mluvnice češtiny, Mluvnice současné češtiny.
