Gymnosperms and Monocots in the region of Pacov and their use in the teaching of science and biology

This thesis is focused on selected Gymnosperms and Monocots in the region of Pacov and their use in the teaching of natural sciences and biology in secondary schools and lower years of grammar schools. The content of this paper is divided into a practical and a theoretical part. The first part deals with the natural characteristics of the region Pacovsko. Nature protection and description of natural monuments in Pacovsko are also included in this part. The practical part deals with creation of a regionally focused training material for plant system. The basis for creation of educational materials is a questionnaire which is designed for teachers of natural sciences and biology in Pacovsko. This questionnaire shows the needs of the teachers for teaching the plant system. There is a file of powerpoint presentations created for teachers and for pupils there is a file of worksheets which correspond with the powerpoint presentations. The conlusion of the practical part describes testification of created regionally focused teaching material in practice
