Competences of a social worker in the field of adoption and foster care

Diploma thesis "Competences of a Social Worker in the Field of Adoption and Foster Care" deals with working activities of social workers. It concentrates on creation of discipline charts of various job positions of social workers at regional authorities, municipal offices and in non-governmental organizations. Main working activities and criteria of success in the mentioned profession are described in this diploma thesis; next, individual elements of activities are evaluated and preconditions of success are described; finally, some proposals and recommendations are submitted with the aim of making some working tasks simplier and more effective. The aim of this thesis is gaining survey of the mentioned profession and comparing the job description of work activities of social workers in various institutions
