The purpose of the paper "The Matter of Cuban Migration" is to analyze the recent history of Cuba from the viewpoint of migration, in particular the period from 1950's to the present. The thesis aims to describe the historical development of Cuba under the rule of Fidel Castro and to depict his impact on Cuban migration and Cuban foreign relations from the time of Castro's accession to power to the present. The thesis consists of three sections. The introduction delineates the historical and political development of Cuban migration and its impact on the change of political relationships in recent decades. The second section describes the impact of Cuban migration on various countries and regions, in particular on the United States of Americ...
