Presented work deals with one of the main bioinformatics tasks: construction of phylogenetic trees. It focuses on UPGMA and Neighbour-joining methods which are used to create trees based on the matrix containing distances between gene or protein sequences. The result of the work is the implementation of these methods which is used within the application providing comfortable user interface for comparing the results of the methods
