Venereal diseases and their pharmacotherapy

VENEREAL DISEASES AND THEIR PHARMACOTHERAPY Romana Studená The aim of my work is: To divide primary venereal diseases, characterize particular illnesses, specify their origins, diagnostic methods, clinical symptoms, then to give a summary of remedies used in therapy, divide medicaments into relevant groups and name commercial preparations presently available. The dissertation is oriented not only towards primary venereal diseases but also on other infections which are transmited mainly by sexual intercourse, so-called STDs - Sexual Transmitted Diseases. Venereal diseases are expanded particulary because of the decreasing influence in this problems in upbringing, changing opinions on the gravity of sexual intercourse and venereal diseases, heightened sex life and promiscuity, international tourism and other international movements of population, prostitution and the growing number of transmissions of venereal diseases by homosexual people. Also taking drugs and drinking alcohol increase the danger of getting these illnesses. Due to drugs, namely legal or illegal, people shed their restraint, they fail to attend to responsible manners and this leads to a denial of the rules of safe sex.
